For those of you who missed Ashley's show last night at the Back Porch, you missed quite an evening. We had a 1970-80's-ish prom complete with Homecoming King and Queen and we celebrated owner Kim's birthday!!! We saw old friends and met new ones. Hey Ashley! I met you at Market Street last week. Sorry it's taken me so long to leave a comment. When I first met you in the kitchen, I thought "Oh how cute, this girl thinks she's a rock star!" Then I heard you sing. Girl, you ARE a rock star! I am thoroughly impressed! I would love to be in your fan club and help out, etc. I have two little ones (9 months and 2 1/2) so I'm not into the night life, but I do lots of stuff at market street and central market and the arboretum. I'm also in the community alot during the day (parks, library, etc) so I can hang posters when I take the kids out. Let me know if you need any help in the Mckinney-Frisco area. Maybe I can catch you at Central Market or Market Street sometime. Later!

Ashley did another spectacular job at The Wildflower Festival in Richardson this weekend.

She also had the opportunity to meet one of the upcoming female stars in country music...Candy Coburn....Candy met with Ashley for a few minutes at this festival. Ashley came away, feeling that she had met a wonderful entertainer and made a new friend for life.

I am sure their paths will cross many times in the upcoming years.

Hey Everybody!!

We are currently recruiting Street Team members and need your help. I have listed the responsibilities of a Street Team below. In return, you can expect free merchandise, free tickets to future shows and a hand in generating a "buzz" about Ashley Austin and Southern Rule on a "grass-roots" level. The Street Team is an integral part of the band and without it, their success will be limited.

Street Team Responsibilities:

* Bringing friends to the shows
* Placing stickers and posters in your communities
* Convincing friends to buy band merchandise
* Posting to band forums and bulletin boards online
* Taking names to add to fan club

and then

* Phoning your local radio stations to request her songs be played
* Bring CD's to local DJ's in the clubs where they work
* Stocking CD's wherever you can

It does not matter where you live. A "buzz" is needed everywhere. Please help us spread the word about Ashley Austin and Southern Rule by emailing us to let us know that you will be on our Street Team!!

Congratulations to Ashely for her 2nd runner up win in the Rockwall Idol Competition last night. Her performance was wonderful & well applauded by the judges & the audience. She made many new friends, especially 2 little boys that thought she was the best & both loved her joke. There was 35 contestants in this competition that perform many different styles of music.
